Job Overview:

Participate in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) Summer Internship Program and engage in a unique opportunity to contribute to the administration of justice on a global scale. Job Roles:

  • Assist legal officers and staff members in conducting legal research and analysis.
  • Draft legal documents, memoranda, and reports on various legal issues.
  • Attend court sessions, meetings, and conferences, and prepare summaries and minutes.
  • Support the organization and management of case files and documents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on special projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Engage in discussions and debates on international legal topics.
  • Contribute to the promotion of the ICJ’s mission and activities through various channels.

Education Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited law school or university program.
  • Pursuing a degree in Law, International Law, International Relations, or a related field.

Experience Requirements:

  • Previous experience or coursework in international law or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with legal research methods, principles, and sources.
  • Strong interest in international affairs and human rights issues.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.

Skills Requirements:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting legal documents.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide concise summaries.
